A QBR Should Advance the Customer’s Plan

Describe the role of QBR cadence in retaining and expanding customer accounts.

A QBR is a retention cadence, not a ceremonial meeting. Start from customer outcomes What business result did the customer want when they bought? That answer belongs on slide one because it anchors every later metric. Show progress and risk together A good QBR does not hide problems. It shows where value is visible, where adoption is incomplete, and what must happen before the next review. End with a mutual plan If the meeting ends with “great discussion” but no shared actions, it was a recap. Retention requires a next-quarter plan with owners and dates.
