Distinguish accountable ownership from responsible contribution on cross-functional work.
If everyone owns the outcome equally, no one can reliably drive the recovery. Accountable Is Singular The Accountable person is the answer to who will make sure this outcome happens. They may delegate tasks, but they cannot delegate the need to notice drift and close gaps. Responsible Can Be Many Responsible contributors do the work.
