Distinguish content reflection from emotion reflection in a live workplace conversation.
The facts are not the whole message. Content track This is what happened: deadline moved, client objected, build failed, headcount changed. Reflecting content proves you are not ignoring reality. Emotion track This is how the event is landing: frustrated, exposed, dismissed, overloaded, relieved. Reflecting emotion proves you are listening for meaning, not just extracting tasks. Pair the tracks Use a compact sentence: You are saying the scope changed after the second rebuild, and it sounds like that makes the work feel unstable. Then ask an open question.
