Start With the Adult Problem

Knowles' andragogy says adults need to know why they are learning, prefer problem-centered learning, and bring experience that should be used rather than ignored. Start with the costly workplace problem, then teach the concept as a tool for that problem. Adults usually arrive with a job to do, prior experiences that shape what they notice, and limited patience for content that cannot be used.
