Use RACI to Separate Agent Work from Human Judgment
Apply RACI to define ownership, approval, consultation, and visibility in a human-agent workflow.
RACI gives you a clean way to draw the human-agent boundary. In most workflows, the agent should be Responsible for routine preparation work: gathering records, drafting outputs, tagging items, or proposing next steps. A human usually stays Accountable for the business outcome, especially when the action changes money, policy, customer commitments, or employee impact. Other stakeholders may be Consulted before the action or simply Informed after it. This helps because autonomy is rarely all-or-nothing.
