Recompute an AI-generated growth claim and distinguish percentage points from percent change.
AI says a landing-page test improved signup conversion from 4.2% in April to 5.1% in May and calls it a 21% lift. The marketing slide currently says conversion improved by 0.9%. Separate absolute percentage-point change from relative percent change, then choose the label that fits the decision. The novice trap is treating 0.9 percentage points and 21.4% relative lift as interchangeable. They are both derived from the same inputs but communicate different things.
