Memorize four checks that quickly reveal whether an AI synthesis is operationally useful.
Signal check Can a reader tell the main decision, risk, or ask from the first line? If not, the recap still needs BLUF. Evidence check Does each major conclusion trace back to a real note, quote, or observation? If not, the recap may be a confident paraphrase of guesswork. Ownership check Does every action have an owner and a when? If not, you have activity theater, not a working summary. Tension check Did the recap preserve unresolved disagreement instead of flattening it into false alignment? If not, the recap is likely to create downstream surprise. Signal Evidence Ownership
