Select Airtable field types that prevent predictable data-entry errors.
If a field drives decisions, give it a type that protects decisions. Checklists and error-prevention design work by making the right action easier than the wrong one. Airtable field types do that at the data-entry level. Date fields prevent vague timing, single selects standardize categories, collaborators identify people, and linked records prevent misspelled references.
