Draft a SAR narrative that states facts, pattern, suspicion, and institution action.
Alert notes contain real suspicion but vague language and unsupported labels. Who -> What -> Why suspicious -> What we did. The novice move is to write conclusions first: 'The customer is laundering.' That tells the reader less than the facts would. Step 1 Open with relationship context: customer type, account purpose, onboarding date, expected activity. The reader needs the baseline before the deviation. Step 2 State the activity pattern with dates, totals, counterparties, and speed of movement. Facts make the pattern reviewable. Step 3 Compare the pattern to the profile and evidence requested.
