Ask Feedback That Moves the Rep

Ask for feedback that clarifies the goal, the gap, and the next move.

The move: ask feedback against the rep, not against your whole self. Useful feedback answers three questions. Feed up: what target were you aiming for? Feed back: what happened against that target? Feed forward: what should change next? Deliberate practice needs all three because improvement depends on the next attempt being different. A vague request such as "thoughts?" makes the observer choose the target for you. They may comment on tone, formatting, confidence, or length while the actual practice edge was decision clarity. A strong request tells the observer where to look: "Please mark the moment you understand the recommendation."…
