Prioritize the Morning Desk
Use urgency and importance to choose the next management action during a busy retail morning.
Busy is not the same as prioritized. The matrix The Eisenhower Matrix asks two questions: Is it urgent? Is it important? Urgent-important work gets action now. Important-not-urgent work gets scheduled. Urgent-not-important work gets delegated when possible. Not urgent-not important work gets dropped or deferred. Automotive-retail translation Urgent-important includes a customer about to leave, a funding deadline, safety or compliance risk, or a delivery promise at risk. Important-not-urgent includes coaching, process fixes, inventory aging review, and team planning.
