Start With Activities, Not Tickets
Identify the backbone activities that hold a story map together.
Principle: A story map is held together by the user's sequence of activities. The Move Start by asking, “If I explained how someone uses this product from left to right, what verbs would I say?” Those verbs become candidate backbone activities. Keep them broad enough to anchor discussion and concrete enough that the journey feels real. Why It Works Sequence exposes dependency and context.
