Build a baseline before interpreting a body-language shift.

Baseline is the comparison that makes body language usable. The Teach A body-language cue is not a definition. A baseline is the person's ordinary pattern when they are relatively comfortable and the stakes are low. You are looking for their default posture, gaze rhythm, gesture size, response pace, self-touch, and orientation.
