Respond to a presence-based trust objection with a stronger remote accountability model.
A leader equates trust with seeing people physically or constantly online. If I cannot see them, I cannot trust them. I agree that leaders need confidence. I do not think presence is the strongest signal. Remote trust works better when ownership, decisions, risks, and deadlines are visible in writing and people consistently follow through on those commitments. That gives us a clearer work signal than just seeing someone active.
