Respond when someone demands certainty that the current evidence cannot honestly provide.
A senior stakeholder is pressing for a confident answer that the evidence does not yet support. “Just give us certainty. I do not want caveats.” “What I can give you right now is the current best read we can defend, the assumption most likely to move that read, and the exact signal that would cause us to update.
