Battlecard: “The Model Is Accurate, So Why Monitor?”
Respond to accuracy-based objections with lifecycle and drift reasoning.
A stakeholder wants to skip monitoring because validation accuracy passed. The model is already accurate. Why spend more time on monitoring instead of launching? Validation tells us the model worked on yesterday’s conditions. Monitoring tells us whether live inputs, decision rates, and delayed outcomes stay inside the bounds we agreed to. I am proposing three lightweight signals so we can launch with a rollback trigger instead of relying on hope. The response respects the validation result, then distinguishes point-in-time evidence from live-system control. It also makes the ask concrete and proportional.
