What is a baseline? The starting condition or pressure level against which change is measured. Example: 2026 modeled nitrogen runoff in three supplier basins. Pressure metric or state metric? Strong strategies often need both: one to manage the driver and one to monitor nature condition. What is an action metric? A measure of what the organization did, such as supplier plans completed, hectares under restoration, or sites screened.
