Use tone dimensions to diagnose why a piece of copy feels wrong in context.
Tone is a set of dials, not a single vibe. When copy feels off, name the dial before touching the sentence. Four dimensions Use four scales: formal to casual, serious to funny, respectful to irreverent, and matter-of-fact to enthusiastic. Each scale changes how the reader interprets the same facts.
