Build and interpret a weighted decision matrix for a vendor choice.
The team needs a defensible vendor choice for a knowledge base. Vendor A is cheaper, Vendor B has better search and migration support, and Vendor C has enterprise permissions but slower implementation. Weighted decision matrix: agree criteria -> weight criteria -> score options -> compare weighted totals -> inspect sensitivity. The common trap is scoring first and inventing weights later to justify the favorite vendor. That converts a matrix into theater.
