CALENDAR-MANAGEMENT5 MIN READ

Name the Output Before You Block the Time

Write calendar blocks around concrete outputs rather than vague work categories.

A focus block needs an output, not a mood. The title should tell future-you exactly what to produce. The naming rule Use verb + artifact + finish standard. The verb creates action, the artifact creates a visible result, and the standard creates a stopping point. This lowers startup friction and makes the block easier to protect from meeting creep. Meeting parallel The same rule cleans meetings: Decide launch owner is hygienic; Launch discussion is a warning sign. Both meetings and focus blocks should earn their calendar space by naming what changes after they happen.
