Catch the Trigger Before It Catches You

Identify the earliest useful intervention point in an emotional work trigger.

The first move is to locate the emotion in the sequence, not to judge it. The Chain Gross's process model is practical because it turns a vague phrase like emotional control into a map. A work event happens. Your attention narrows. Your mind appraises what the event means. Your body and behavior prepare a response. Each link can be regulated.
