The First 15 Seconds Decide the Room

Explain why BLUF should lead urgent messages before SBAR support and readback.

Pressure clarity starts before the details. When people are calm, they may tolerate a slow build. When they are under pressure, every extra sentence before the point increases the chance that they interrupt, infer, or miss the action. BLUF is a courtesy to the listener's working memory: it says what decision or risk matters before asking them to process evidence. Why BLUF is not oversimplifying BLUF does not mean hiding uncertainty. It means naming your current best answer and then showing the support.
