The client-site deadline trap

Respond to a client's accusation by acknowledging impact, preserving truth, and making a concrete decision request.

The client hears delay as failure. The room wants a promise. Tomas has accused Noor's team of failure and her partner may promise an impossible Friday delivery. What should Noor say next? Acknowledge the client impact, state the blocking defect, and offer two honest delivery choices. Right. It combines NVC empathy, SBI facts and impact, and a concrete request that moves the room toward a real decision. Explain that the team's intent was sound and the vendor change caused the timeline risk. Weaker.
