Use SPC and PDCA to respond to tool-wear trend evidence during a CNC run.
Dimensional trend The OD is still passing, but each check moves the same direction. The decision is whether this is real tool wear or noise. Waiting too long creates scrap; adjusting too soon creates self-made variation. SPC on the floor Confirm signal -> project risk -> act proportionally SPC asks whether the process is speaking with a pattern. PDCA converts that pattern into a reversible, checked action.
