Recall when to use issue, question, suggestion, nitpick, and praise.
When you see a real defect “I do not want to sound too harsh.” A correctness, security, privacy, data, or maintainability problem exists. Use issue (blocking): [behavior] causes [impact]. Can we [fix]? Calling a real issue a suggestion hides merge impact. It is direct because the code risk is direct, and it stays fair by naming evidence. Uncertain vs. certain Question or issue? Certainty determines the label; impact determines the decoration. Pure recall When is a nitpick appropriate? When the comment is trivial or preference-based and should not block merge.
