Write comments that survive forwarding
Write redline comments that state the issue, reason, and proposed path in plain language.
Assume your comment will be forwarded without you. Issue Name the exact contract problem. Avoid labels like unacceptable, nonstandard, or problematic unless you also explain what makes it so. The issue should be visible from the clause. Reason Translate the issue into business effect: uncapped exposure, no workable process, no evidence standard, conflicting owner, impossible deadline, or price not aligned to risk. This is the part that helps non-lawyers decide. Proposed path Offer a concrete edit or choice. A comment that only complains creates work for the reader.
