Convert Statements Into Questions
Rewrite a statement or assumption as a question that opens useful inquiry.
Many weak questions start as confident statements. The craft is to find the assumption and ask into it. Find the claim A statement such as The plan is risky or The page is confusing contains a claim, but the claim is not yet precise. Risky how? Confusing to whom? Compared with what goal? Finding the claim prevents the conversation from becoming a debate about taste. Ask for evidence Evidence questions move the discussion from opinion to observation.
