Battlecard: "We Already Know the Answer"
Respond to the objection that mapping and questioning are unnecessary because the answer is obvious.
A teammate says, "We already know the answer," when the group is about to approve a decision without mapping the assumption or objection. We already know the answer. We do not need to overthink this. I am not asking for a full debate. Let us name the one assumption that would make this answer wrong. If that assumption holds, we move faster with more confidence. The response lowers defensiveness by honoring speed, then inserts one Socratic assumption test. It counters overconfidence without accusing anyone of being careless.
