Reconcile Cost Basis Before It Becomes Archaeology

Build a basic digital asset transaction record that supports later tax and accounting review.

Carlos bought 0.25 ETH for $600, later paid $18 in network fees to move it, and swapped 0.10 ETH into a stablecoin. He needs a record that a future reviewer can understand. Record the economic event, not just the wallet movement. The common shortcut is to export a wallet history and assume it explains basis, purpose, and tax treatment. It usually does not.
