Respond constructively when stakeholders argue that data contracts slow delivery.
Data contracts will slow every source change. A bad process would. A good contract speeds safe change by separating compatible additions from consumer-breaking changes. Optional fields can move quickly; meaning, grain, SLA, or removal changes get a migration path before they become incidents.
