Make the Request Observable
Turn vague de-escalation commands into observable requests.
Observable requests are easier to follow under stress. Vague command "Calm down" asks for an internal state and often starts an argument about tone. Observable request "Put the invoice on the counter" asks for an action that changes the safety and task conditions. Respectful reason Pair the request with the person's goal so it sounds like a path forward, not a dominance move.
