Run a Deal Premortem Before Approval

Use a premortem to identify approval risks before a high-pressure deal is signed.

A premortem gives people permission to name the risk while there is still time to change the deal. Imagine the failure Say: 'It is ninety days after signature and this deal is in escalation. What happened?' This breaks the spell of close-date optimism. Name the failure mode Look for concrete causes: unsupported billing terms, unclear success criteria, weak security commitments, margin-negative services, product gaps, or approval authority confusion.
