Signals only matter when they predict a buying job a human can actually help with.
The company wants sales to use product data, but reps are chasing shallow events while strong-fit accounts still stall during team rollout. The current handoff creates noise for PLG users and misses the real chasm moment. A good handoff combines usage proof with ICP fit and a specific human job. The trap is to treat any activity as intent. That violates PLG economics and teaches users that touching the product gets them interrupted.
