Design Tiers Around Capability, Not Just Revenue

Design a partner tier model that rewards capability and reduces avoidable conflict.

A tier is a promise to the field. If the badge says "top partner," sellers assume that partner can qualify well, collaborate in co-sell, and reduce channel conflict instead of creating it. What a good tier is really doing A mature partner program uses tiers to allocate scarce benefits: seller mindshare, deal protection, incentives, marketing funds, and executive attention.
