Look for the Barrier, Not the Defect
Identify a workflow barrier using the social/environmental model of disability.
The barrier is often more actionable than the label. A person-focused explanation narrows the response to motivation or discipline; a barrier-focused explanation opens design options. Person frame "Ravi is unreliable" stops the analysis at character. It may feel decisive, but it hides the mechanics of the task. Barrier frame "The tool times out before Ravi can complete the update" points to something testable and changeable. It also protects standards: the dashboard still needs timely updates, but the route can be redesigned.
