Do Not Use a Timeout as a Weapon

Distinguish an accountable timeout from avoidance, punishment, or unilateral control.

Regulation without return can become avoidance with better vocabulary. Healthy cooldowns are accountable. They name the issue, own the body state, set a time, and return with a process. Weaponized cooldowns sound calm but remove the issue from reach. They happen whenever accountability rises, they make others feel unreasonable for continuing, and they end without repair.
