Closed-Loop Crew Calls
Use closed-loop communication between pilot, visual observer, and support crew.
The reframe: a call is complete only when the other person proves they understood it. Issue Name what matters operationally: "vehicle entering landing zone," "pedestrian below path," "battery at return threshold," or "manned aircraft heard north." Avoid vague hints such as "watch out" or "something behind you." Acknowledgment The receiver repeats the meaning and states the action. This prevents a pilot from silently absorbing a hazard while still doing the previous task. Confirmation The sender confirms or corrects. If the repeat-back is wrong, the sender fixes it immediately.
