The Arc-Flash Label Is Not Decoration
Use arc-flash labeling and task controls to decide whether energized diagnostics may proceed.
Energized diagnostics are requested, but the arc-flash label cannot be read. What should happen before the live test proceeds? Pause the task, recover the arc-flash data from an approved source, and set PPE and boundary controls before proceeding. Correct. The label data informs exposure controls. If it is unreadable, the team needs approved information before energized diagnostics. Use the PPE from a similar-looking motor control bucket because the equipment type is probably close enough.
