Clearance Risk Is Likelihood Times Impact
Prioritize clearance issues by rating both likelihood of challenge and impact on exploitation.
Not every clearance issue deserves the same hour of your attention. Likelihood Ask whether a claimant is identifiable, reachable, motivated, and likely to object. A famous song, a living public figure, a distinctive artwork, or an active brand owner usually raises likelihood. A blurred incidental poster may not. Impact Ask what happens if the claim arrives late. Can the team blur, cut, replace, or explain? Or would the claim affect insurance, distribution, chain of title, music deliverables, or a talent relationship? Sequencing High-high items get action. High-low items get operational fixes.
