In a public project thread, a teammate writes, We already covered this. You feel heat and want to reply, No, we did not. Affect labeling works best when the label is specific enough to reveal the need underneath. Using a broad label like angry may keep you focused on the other person's tone instead of the need you can act on. Broad label First pass: I am angry.
