Three Steps to Reappraise Pressure
Use a three-step exercise to reappraise a pressure moment while staying fact-based.
Write the threat story Name the first interpretation without polishing it: I am being exposed, they are blaming me, this will fail. A raw story is easier to examine than a story pretending to be fact. List observer facts Write only what a neutral person could verify: who said what, what changed, what deadline or constraint is real. Removing assumed motives lowers emotional certainty. Choose a work-forward reframe Write another interpretation that fits the facts and points to a useful action. The reframe is valid when it improves behavior without denying risk.
