Fit the Task to the Body

Recognize ergonomics as task design rather than posture policing.

Ergonomics starts with the work, not the worker. The task-fit idea NIOSH frames ergonomics as designing work tasks and job demands to fit worker capabilities. That means discomfort is a signal to inspect exposure: posture, force, repetition, duration, lighting, tools, and psychosocial pace.
