Recall the minimum elements of a trustworthy experiment readout.
What decision was this test meant to inform? The launch, stop, target, or retest decision. If the decision is vague, the readout will drift. What was the primary metric? The one metric with decision priority before results were seen. Do not promote a secondary metric after the fact. “It is statistically significant, so ship it.” Your line “It is likely a real effect.
