Praise That Teaches the Repeatable Move
Give praise that names the behavior, the value, and the repeatable pattern.
The teach Praise should be a map, not applause. If the person cannot tell what to repeat, your praise was emotionally nice but operationally weak. Use three moves: Moment: Name where it happened. Behavior: Name the action, choice, wording, structure, or preparation. Value: Explain what it made easier, faster, safer, clearer, or more trusted. This matters because praise silently sets norms.
