Cost of Quality asks one blunt question: are you paying to prevent the problem or paying after the customer feels it? Use four buckets. Prevention includes training, standards, acclimation, substrate prep, and product selection discipline. Appraisal includes checks: moisture readings, photo documentation, punch lists, and final walkthroughs. Internal failure is waste found before handoff.
