Define the Work Before You Defend It
Convert vague focus time into a concrete deep-work block with an output and finish line.
Defend deep work by naming the output, not by asking for quiet in general. Target The target is the demanding question the block exists to answer. It should be narrow enough that your mind can load it and hold it. Output The output is what will exist at the end: a draft, model, decision note, architecture sketch, synthesis, or review.
