Use “not yet” to frame gaps as temporary and workable rather than permanent identity claims.
The teach “Not yet” is a boundary between performance data and identity damage. People often move from one bad result to a global label because labels feel clean. "I am not analytical" sounds final, and finality can feel strangely safer than trying again and risking another miss. A growth-mindset response does not deny the miss. It locates the miss.
