Answer Before You Bridge

Answer a hard question directly before bridging to a core point.

Nina has one first sentence before the room decides whether she is answering or dodging. Ravi asks, "Did Product overpromise again, or did Sales sell something we never had?" What should Nina say first? The commitment changed after Sales had the original date; the key point now is that every customer gets the same corrected date by noon. Right. It gives a direct neutral answer, flags the key point, and bridges to the action the group can execute.
