The question asks for a guarantee the facts cannot yet support. The audit chair asks, "Can you guarantee this will not become a reportable incident?" What should the operations leader say? The guarantee question is the right standard. We cannot make that guarantee until log review and counsel assessment are complete; both are underway, and you will have a written status by 4 p.m. Right.
