Run a fast pre-task scan that catches people, energy, path, and change hazards.
The scan is a current-conditions reset. Before a task starts, ask four prompts in order: people, energy, path, and change. People Who can be exposed, enter the area, distract the task, or help control it? Include bystanders, contractors, visitors, and anyone who may not know the plan. Energy What can move, fall, roll, energize, pinch, spray, heat, pressurize, or release? Energy is often hidden after equipment stops or before a load shifts.
